    Country side named.

Jack Wighton – Orange CYMS / Canberra Raiders
Kane Linnett– Port Kembla / North Queensland Cowboys
Euan Aitken – Merimbula Pambula Bulldogs / St George Illawarra Dragons
Jarrod Croker – Goulburn Stockmen / Canberra Raiders
Isaah Yeo – St Johns Dubbo / Penrith Panthers
James Maloney – St Edwards Gosford / Cronulla Sharks
Jack Bird – Berkeley Eagles / Cronulla Sharks
Shannon Boyd – Cowra Magpies / Canberra Raiders
Mitch Rein – Kiama Knights / St George Illawarra Dragons
Jack De Belin – Cootamundra Bulldogs / St George Illawarra Dragons
Tyson Frizell – Corrimal Cougars / St George Illawarra Dragons
Boyd Cordner – Old Bar Pirates / Sydney Roosters
Dale Finucane – Bega Roosters / Melbourne Storm
Jordan McLean – Young Cherry Pickers / Melbourne Storm
Paul Vaughan – Gungahlin Bulls / Canberra Raiders
Tariq Sims – Gerringong Lions / Newcastle Knights
Mitch Aubusson – Ballina Seagulls / Sydney Roosters

Who does Fensom have to root to get a run? I mean, Vaughn wasn't born in NSW, never played for a NSW based team, never lived in NSW and has half the talent of Fensom but he gets a run? Jack Bird in the halves? Must be a shortage of footballers in the country, if they have to bring centres into the halves.

    NSW gonna NSW.

    Aitken?
Does he even play for the Dragons any more... far out.
At least pick someone with a remote realistic chance of being picked. Wow. Linnett on the wing? What the fuck.

I like bird, I wouldnt mind if he was picked in the centres or on the bench for the actual NSW team. He's a deadset gun. At 6 tho.. no.
What that tells us, is that the 6 is either 1. playing for the city team or 2. wont be picked to play city country - eg G Bird.

No blake austin in either side too lol
Whilst the actual game generally tends to be alright every year - the selections and the premise of the game, every year, just piss me off. Its just pointless.

The best thing about it is that they take it to the bush.

Are you drunk or just stupid? It is not uncommon for a player to play out of position for a rep game. There has been a long line of players who play at center for their club but switch out to the wing for their state. Most recently Chambers, Gagai and Tate. Not to mention Blake Ferguson lining up on the wing for Australia. Also Jack Bird spent all of last year playing at 5/8th where he won the Dally M rookie of the year award.

I suggest you think before posting in future...

There are some ridiculous selections in those sides, but that said, we haven't heard who hasn't been selected because of unavailability. But gee, if we had to pick a NSW side exclusively from those players, Qld would put 100 on us.

Of all those players, i can only see a handful who are realistic selection options for NSW:

    Nathan Peats
    Bryce Cartwright
    Boyd Cordner
    Jake Trbojevic
    James Maloney
    Josh Mansour

Maybe there are a few other on the cusp or talked about, but i'd say they are doubtful. I think the battle of the props will be an interesting one Campbell-Gillard/Trbojevic v Boyd/Vaughan. If De Belin is anywhere near the NSW side that will do me, I'll give it away.

Well considering Linnett is exclusively a centre - he is more chance of playing back row than wing IMO.
Especially when Aitken has played on the wing a bit this year, it seems strange to me that a guy like Linnett - who would be a genuine chance (not really tho) of being picked in the centres for NSW - should be playing centre. As he is not a genuine chance of being picked on the wing. He is a lumbering big line running unit - not an elusive quick bloke like those other guys you mentioned.

The difference with Gagai, Tate and co, is they actually played on the wing a fair bit in club footy. Linnett, I would be surprised if he has ever started on the wing for the cowboys.

I dont mind DeBellin, I think hes having a good year.
Out of those 4 blokes, I would take Trbo... he's a future NSW rep staple. Would be great for a bench middle forward spot.

He is having a good year by his standards, but that isn't setting the bar very high. I could cop him as a benchie at this level but a starting prop at any rep level? No Way!!

Start prop for NSW? No, def not. Not at this stage in his career.
For City v Country tho - sure.

I like what he's been doing for the Dragons, hes one of there very few shining lights IMO.

I would much rather Trbo snag a bench spot for NSW than DeBellin tho but neither of them will get picked.

This mickey mouse game is a waste of time.

Daley is a spastic and already has his team NSW squad penciled in.

Don't know how they pick Vaughan. Semi has a better eligibility argument than he does since he has actually lived in NSW.

I'd say because he is a lock for FB now Teddy is out and they don't want to risk him, or perhaps even in the 6, given Daley was talking about Maloney as a 7, and he didn't want the City/Country boys to pick him in that spot as he didn't want to reveal his hand too early.

Who knows with Loz, but clearly it should be because he has been told he will be fullback and doesnt need to play in the game.
    Lets hope so anyway.
