I'm in a bit of a music rut - there are a few bands on there I don't listen to.

Do my eyes deceive me? A fellow bass player?!

YES! haha BUT the funny thing was that im left handed and play left handed so I looked pretty gammy when i was up there but still it was all in good fun.

I found that when i was younger i just liked the punkrock scene but now im loving everything older music even some of todays songs. Not that i call much of it music but some of its good!

Impressed. Speaking as someone who has Pixie DVD & CD bootlegs and has seen them more times than they have graced these shores. IM me if you're interested.

PS - You find me copies of Kim Deal singing Black Pixie classics and I promise not to impregnate your daughters.

Not bad. It's 5 tracks, Iron Rooster was my fav.
The EP hasn't been over produced, guess to keep costs down being that it's free.
I like listening to something that isn't so slick though.

The only stuff I have of Kim Deal aside from The Pixies is The Breeders.  My youngest has actually got into a heap of bands from my era, and it doesn't seem like a phase; very proud of her  Very Happy .

Yeah one of those side projects. The term "supergroup" got coined. More based on individuals from big name bands getting together for a side project than the band being any good or having any longevity. Good for an album a tour and a festival. Fills in 2 years while bands are on hiatus and writing songs, then it disappears.

Bloke has always come across as a fuckwit, but gee, he has put some fucking terrific bills together over the last decade. Favourite was 2012 but missed 2013 and that was probably the biggest-had a wedding overseas so had to sell my tix.
