    Indeed. Big Diesel says no to the mainstream.

    And in doing so, ironically, becomes part of the mainstream.

    Finally finished The Jinx.  Luckily I had no idea what it was about and stayed away from spoilers.  I won't add spoilers here, but had me guessing all the way through as to how much of it was fact and fiction.

    I wonder if there is a season 2, and will it be like True Detective's fall from grace  Crying or Very sad

    See - heres the thing - I liked True Detective S2. It wasnt as good as the first time around, but McAdams and Farrell? Yes please. Even Taylor Kitcsh wasnt that bad and I cant stand him usually.

    Agree on the cast, they were awesome.  Vaughan was terrible though, I don't think I've ever understood the term wooden acting, but I think that may have been it.

    I actually hated it, had to force myself to finish it, but only with the slight glimmer of hope that it may pull a rabbit out of the hat.  I loved the first ep, but it just went downhill from there.

    I actually don't think I was the victim of expecting too much either, I just didn't like it.  I will watch it again no doubt, but I really thought it was terrible in pretty much every facet.

    Yeah, I dont like Vaughn either. He's not bad as a comedy straight-man but actual acting, I dont like him. I keep expecting him to deliver a line a wiggle his eyebrows at the camera, Groucho Marx style, and go "hey? hey?". He's like Nicole Kidman for me - just do not understand the appeal at all.

    In terms of the rest of it, I really liked the;

    Trying out the spoiler button:
    street shootout scene, I thought that was really well shot for a TV show. and the scene at the gentlemans club exclusive party thing was really good, very tense

    Yes, the second bit was very well done.  With the first bit though, to me it just came off as them trying to replicate that 5 minute passage in the first season where the same camera tracked the entire sequence.  That was brilliant.

    I will watch it again though.  I really did enjoy the first episode, and loved how all 3 of them came together at the end of it.

    I loved that though - replicate it once an episode for all I care. I cant get enough of it.

    I didn't mind season 2 of True Detective.... but I guess the sign that it pales in comparison to S1 is that I don't feel that compulsion to watch it again almost ASAP like I did with season 1. I'm watching season 1 again this week for what must be the 5th or 6th time. I love it

    Mr Robot didn't quite match the expectations I had after the hype I had read about it, but it was still pretty engaging in a lot of ways.

    Trying to stay away from Fargo S2 until it's all done and dusted to binge on it.... will see how long my resolve lasts...

    My mate loved Mr Robot but he watches EVERYTHING, including gay porn, so not necessarily a reliable judge.  In fact his favourite actor is Benedict Cumberbatch so that goes to show.  I missed Fargo season 1; but started recording Season 2 as it started on SBS last night for when I catch up.

    Ok, so googled it and nothing came up. So I then proceeded to google Jennifer White. Is this the same Jennifer White that starred in Cum Vacuum and Six Inside Me? Lol
