Didn't realise it was twice! Love the show, first ep I saw was back in 2004 or something during the middle of the day on Channel 7. It was the one where Stewie and Bertram battle as sperm. I remember thinking at the time even though it was animated that it was pretty full on for a midday time slot.

After that ep my mate was like "I will NEVER be able to watch The Simpson's again!"

No cartoon tops the Simpsons for me. I love American Dad/Family Guy/Archer but nothing tops the Simpsons.

Like the middle years Simpsons for me. I just watched one tonight and didn't even smirk through it. Its kinda losing its touch which is a horrible thing to say.

One of the writers talked about how he wants to end the season I think its a great idea what he wants to do.

I thought they were too ambitious when American Dad started up but I've got it on a par with Family Guy now.

Not being able to laugh at the Simpsons is the first sign you are getting old. My inner child still watches an ep every now and then for old times sake. Young at heart. Or maybe Im just immature... whatever.

People forget to do what makes you happy. Life is short, enjoy it and fuck the haterz.

After getting really crap for a while, the Simpsons has had a mini-resurgence the last couple seasons.

Although I don't watch it religiously, just catch the odd episode here and there.

Seasons 3 and 4 were the pinnacle. Such great television, and so many people around now that weren't even born when they were first shown.

There's just so many brilliant moments. 3-7 I could watch all the time.

Weirdest thing happened yesterday with The Simpsons.  Yeah I loved it growing up, but haven't watched it really for the last decade or so.

I was watching Family Guy and The Simpsons were up next.  I normally turn over at that point to something else, but after this thread thought I'd at least check the synopsis, thinking there is no way that will suck me in to watching a full episode.  Turns out that of all the episodes it could have been, it was a take on one of my all time favourite movies, it was "The Eternal Sunshine of The Simpson's Mind" ep.

So I watched it  Very Happy
