Can Carty and Lawrence be used together? The $120,000+ should be pretty useful elsewhere

Talked myself into Whitehead yesterday now worried about minutes with Papa Soli Fence and now Tapine. Are these legitimate fears? I still think he could play 60 and probably outscore 80 min Rochow for around the same money

whitehead may not play 80 to start hte season just because of the heat/adjustment to NRL but i reckon they've got him pencilled in for it.

is TAPINE signed yet (for this year)? what a mess. if thats confirmed then the raiders somehow went from having not alot to a really strong pack

I'm torn between keeping things as they are or make some notable downgrades to fund Teddy. I'm seeing him pop up more in people's teams.

Finding the cash for an upgrade later on may be difficult especially if he starts off with some big scores, everyone will be onto him and you fall behind the pack.

From another perspective,  starting with him really affects the balance and depth of my squad so I'm in two minds whether it's worth it or not.

Does anyone have an opinion on this?

I'm starting to question my decision to have Parcell in my team but I don't know sometimes you got to roll the dice and take a risk. Last year I ran with a Lichaa/Moseley HOK combo to start the year and even though I spent a bit of money chasing down players I missed out on like Soliola and Aitken I was still able to upgrade Moseley by Round 8 to a gun HOK.
Different scenario this year since Parcell minutes aren't guaranteed and J Niko's job security is questionable if I move him but I think so long as I keep a bit of cash in reserve and make upgrading the spot my first priority it should be manageable to run with a cheapie there.

Best way to get Ted in without affecting the balance of your team mate is to pair Tedesco with Barba and Feeney if both are named at FB to start the season

Me too but then I thought like this. Teddy plus cheapie or Gordon + another 300k odd pick. Teddy is capable of outscoring the latter on any given week IMO

With Tedesco I fee like he's the premier keeper/set and forget WFB in the game. However he does cost a lot and I think there's a good chance he'll drop in price a fair bit even if he does maintain some good scores. Maybe just write down or think about what you're giving up in other areas of your team in order to fit Tedesco in.
For me having Tedesco means instead of having CP13 in the team I'm running with Woods or Graham in the FRF. On average I'm missing 10 points a week but Tedesco's ability to get huge scores could easily make up for that.

Whilst it really does affect the balance and depth I am reluctant to trade him. I feel Ted will be the best scoring FWB for the first half of the season.  At least until RTS settles into his new team. I agree, it will be hard to find the coin to bring him in later so as of now, he is a firm starter in my team. Cheers

Excellent - there I was thinking "gee the Broncs are looking a bit thin on second row options"

Can Carty and Lawrence be used together? The $120,000+ should be pretty useful elsewhere

Spot the guy without Cartwright in his team

Carty scored over 55 in half the games he started as a 2nd rower last year.

Yeah was thinking that, I have Fergo, Gordon, Barba and Feeny at the back but may also need to move Fergo into the centre's for his dpp and to boost that position as its fairly weak at the moment.

I'll still need to downgrade some forwards to upgrade Gordon to Teddy, thats the difficult bit because I have 6 genuine guns there as well as some good reserves which I'm fairly happy with.
