Surprised they are taking Cartwright as far as he has had some injuries in his time, but look forward to watching him.  Did he play last year?

Not a bad side but to me it lacks a bit in the forwards. Lots of youth and spark with the backs but I can't see too much structured go forward for yardage. Could go well if they click (DWZ for a massive tournament if they do IMO) but more likely they will be in the bottom half come day 2

Dont underestimate Latimore and RCG. Seggy should do well also. They are a dark horse IMO

I think there's more first grade quality there than most teams will bring

Doesn't mean they'll necessarily do well though

Agree that Seggy should do well but that still won't be with structured yards. If they do well in the tournament it will be on off the cuff attacking play in my opinion. With other teams likely to have both that style of attack but also the ability to gain simple yardage then they are a hard team to rate going into it (not that being a tournament favourite means anything in this tournament)

I reckon that's a really strong 9's team. Cartwright RCG, Latimore, Taylor and Yeo will be solid enough up front and they have good backs.

On first inspection I was like Milchy, but as it's Nines, as long as they don't get any injuries then that will be solid up front.

Too much will fall on Cartwright is my thinking. Not enough enterprise from the rest of the forwards in making something happen, while there isnt enough forward power to effectively grind their way downfield. That's my thinking at least but with the nines sensible thinking often doesn't apply

Mansour will see they make plenty of yards up the field. Cartwrights offloading skills should be in full display also.

Yeah, saw Mansour described as a 7th forward the other day actually.

Peachey is playing in the All-star game and not considered for selection

Theres a lot of size across the park there (i dont get the go forward critism) i think their problem will be a lack of speed.

Size but a lack of skillful forwards. Cartwright too me is the only one who offers something of their forwards. To me you need a few forwards who are capable of doing something with the ball. No use carting it up in nines unless you can crack through to the other side and no use attracting defenders if you can't shift the ball on, too many workhorse forwards for me compared to what other teams will likely field with their big boys
